Whenever you communicate through verbal or written means, you have a choice to make - do you want to give clarity or confusion?
A tip that will help us improve the clarity of conversaion and get the first minute right - include 3 important things in every message you give - T, I, P ❇️
- T: Topic - what is the topic, what is this about. Make sure that the listener is on the same page. Say “I’d like to about…”
- I: Intent - what you want the listener to do with the information. If not, they will wonder “why are you telling me this?”. Say “I’d like your help to …”
- P: Point - what is the point? This is the most important part of the message. This is what you would say if you had 5 seconds - the headline. Say “The project is delayed..”
In one sentence, deliver the most important information. Put the bottomline at the top. ❇️
